PocketGene’s vision is to accelerate the adoption of Genomics in healthcare setups by making accurate and consistent genetic information accessible and portable for the public and healthcare professionals, that can be easily carried in their pockets.

PocketGene is co-developed by Zifo Genomics Research Institute and CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology.

In order to use the PocketGene on your smartphone, you will need to download PocketGene from the Play Store (for Android devices) or the AppStore (for iOS devices). Once you have installed the App, you can sign up in the app by giving your basic personal details.
Initially, PocketGene collects basic information from you at the time of signing up in the app such as name, Email ID, date of birth, phone number, gender, and the password you provide us with during the creation of account. In addition, For the physician the registration number is collected for validation. We also collect some information about users who visit our websites using cookies and similar technologies.
PocketGene primarily uses information about you to provide, personalize, improve, update, and expand our services to you. We may also use personal information about you to verify your identity, communicate with you and to deliver advertisements, improve our app information security and issuing surveys and questionnaires to collect additional user information for use in the services, marketing new products and offers from us or our business partners, conducting scientific, statistical research.
We implement physical, technical, and administrative measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access to or disclosure of your personal information. Our team regularly reviews and improves our security practices to help ensure the integrity of our systems and your personal information. Be mindful of keeping your password and other authentication information safe from third parties, and immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your login credentials. We encourage you not to share your password with any third parties. PocketGene cannot secure personal information that you release on your own or that you request us to release.
It will take around 8-10 business days to get your test results. The app will notify you once the results are ready and it will be sent directly to the physician where you can consult him and discuss about the results.
